Leahy says probe of Justice Dept. will continue (on now on NPR)
On NPR and in other media today, Sen. Leahy said the probe into the Justice department and the firing of federal prosecutors will not end with Gonzales' departure.

He also stated that he expected to meet with the President about an acceptable replacement for Gonzo, and that he would be in charge of when hearings will be scheduled.

1. Whoa.
Leahy just slammed Chertoff. When asked what advice he'd give bush about Chertoff, he said, "Is that the person that handled Katrina?", and then went on to say what a lousy job Chertoff's done at Homeland Security.

2. Leahy wouldn't be so snarky if he didn't have the goods
This is great news!
