WH: Bush to re-affirm support for Iraqi PM al-Maliki

USA TODAY's David Jackson reports that President Bush thinks his comments yesterday about Nouri al-Maliki are being misinterpreted, and plans to re-affirm his support for the Iraqi prime minister when he speaks to veterans this morning in Kansas City.

"The president will reiterate his support for the prime minister. The words may not be exactly the same, but the position remains unchanged," White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe tells reporters.
