But I would say it's not likely. War spending is certainly good for a few companies/industries, but it's not the only way to stimulate those industries.

5. The Iraq "war" is a massive public works project ala New Deal but without the benefit of improving
our infrastructure.

So, I would say yes and no. It is a huge spending engine and has the positive effects of all huge spending engines.The negatives however are that the money is going to the Daddy Warbucks guys and profits are being invested elsewhere in the world and/or used against us. US is being drained.

Imagine those billions being spent with an objective of creating a US paradise. Instead we have Paradise Lost.

6. Whic is basically a "no"...
...since the positive effects of spending engines entails them putting money in the hands of those most likely to put it back into circulation: working people.

So the way * has it set up, it's more of a siphoning machine than a spending machine.
