Part of the problem is that the hero isn't so local any more. CBS Radio's veteran White House correspondent Mark Knoller, who has kept an informal record of the presidents sojurns to his 1,600-acre ranch, Mr. Bush has only visited four time so far this year, compared to 17 times in all of 2004.

11. Sell It as Quick as They Bought It

Wasn't there a story going around that they only bought the place a week or two before the 2000 election so he could have a 'Reagan' place to make him look like a cowboy? They'll probably put it on the market within days of 1/20/09 and we'll finally get a look at the little palace on the prairie. It's no quaint ranch house, that's for certain. I wouldn't be surprised if it winds up being owned by the Carlyle Group because it's dollars to donuts that GWB will wind up on the board of that organization just like dear ol' Dad.
