According to Arkansas law, you're never too young to wed
Imagine the cute couple – she in a ruffled white dress, he in a tuxedo with short pants – toddling down the aisle.

That's not the picture the Arkansas legislature had in mind when it passed a new marriage law. Legislators intended to make 18 the minimum age for marriage and instead ended up with a law saying any age is OK, with parental consent.

Now, it may take a special legislative session to correct the law.

"It's clearly not the intent to allow 10-year-olds or 11-year-olds to get married," said Rep. Will Bond, D-Jacksonville, the bill's sponsor. "The legislation was screwed up."

4. The one meant to ban gay marriage......
(which is kind of dumb in the first place) but that was so badly worded that it seemed to invalidate all marriage......except, perhaps, the one lucky couple who might have been deemed to have been married.

Article I, Texas Constitution, (The Bill of Rights) is amended by adding Section 32 to read as follows:

(a) MARRIAGE in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.

(b) THIS STATE or a political subdivision of THIS STATE MAY NOT CREATE OR RECOGNIZE ANY LEGAL STATUS IDENTICAL or similar to MARRIAGE.
