Hackett was paired with a right-wing nut on the issue of the Petraeus report not written by Petraeus, and the possible nonappearance of Petraeus in public testimony. He was very mild in his comments, praised Petraeus and Gates, and dissed Democrats along with Republicans for playing politics with Iraq. When he finished, Tweety said he disagreed -- he thinks Bush deceived by leading up to Petraeus, and then not delivering Petraeus at all. He played a montage of Bush statements about waiting for Petraeus -- twice. (The right-winger was so far out that Tweety finally said "that doesn't help me" when he called Speaker Pelosi "Botox Nancy.")
I'm guessing Tweety, and his producers, thought Hackett would have had a stronger, and/or more argumentative, opinion on the issue. It was an interesting talk-show sequence, and I wondered if others had thoughts, especially anyone with more knowledge about Hackett than I have.
