Just What is wrong with America when you can't even get doing the 'green' thing right.

Essentially a good deal of the advantage of hybrid vehicles is being frittered away keeping alive your love affair with the urban assault vehicle aka SUV. The fuel economy shoots all the way up to almost that of a clapped out old Toyota Corolla and Amurika pats itself on the back.

My now deceased rocket scientist uncle spent some time in the United States over several visits. The furnished homes provided to him each time had one, two, or sometimes even three perfectly good washers, fridges/freezers, white goods of all sorts. Nothing wrong with them, except they weren't current fashion.

No young couple wants to be satisfied with whatever hasn't already been given to older siblings when starting a new home.

New home buyers want to move straight into the pages of a magazine.

The biggest and the best that can be afforded (or more likely obtained on credit) is the mantra. SUV, LCD, plasma, 2 cars, 3 cars, jacuzzi, sauna, pool.

Can you hear the screams? "I'm big." "I'm BAD." "I'm successful." "That is NOT a sock in my athletic supporter."


I am not knocking every citizen of the USA, it has it's good citizens, perhaps even a majority when they can be convinced to pay attention to what is happening about them.

The ones I am knocking are the ones who make the USA, Amurika.
