Bush's early arrival 'disruptive'
Edmund Tadros
August 10, 2007 - 1:24PM

The early arrival of US President George Bush for the APEC summit in Sydney will cause a "large burden on the city", Deputy Premier John Watkins says.

Mr Bush will arrive in Sydney on the night of Tuesday, September 4, two days earlier than expected.

Mr Watkins was unable to rule out changes to public transport timetables as a result of the early arrival.

snip...
He said: "There is no trying to deny ... there would be additional disruption."

snip...
Mr Watkins said two years worth of organising for APEC would now have to be "rejigged".

He denied he was annoyed by the sudden change in plans, saying: "The President is coming. He's coming early."

1. Note the date; he's bolting 'town' after his werkin' vacation. With not
a clue or care how he/we might be inconveniencing other people. I'm so tired of these brats who don't have one clue about diplomacy.

3. I am sure all these countries just love seeing this guy come.
I loved it when his SS wanted to cut down trees at Buckingham Palace and drove all over the Queens roses. I guess she was some what unhappy. In Germany I read that they had to stop the traffic on the rivers to make his SS happy. And some town just shut up for the day and every one took the day off out side of town. Funny. I think we would save alot and help the world if we just took the GD plane away from these ego nut cases we put in the WH. The CEO's bathroom deal has got out of hand.

9. Why arrive early? So out of character
for our slacker pResident.

Curious. But I will not perpetuate TahitiNut's speculation by mentioning it.

11. He needs the extra time
It's getting harder to find US jobs to offshore.

I wonder what new creative ways the knucklehead will find to embarrass us.

13. They should leave the timetables...
and let them fight the traffic.

It skeeves me out that he said, "The President is coming." Bush is not *his* President.
