Look for it soon in Europe too. If you think of a country as a family home, you have to figure out a way to know who belongs there and who does not.

In countries that have had no real census in ages, and who often go by many different names, how else would you identify them? This seems to be a foolproof way to identify people.

When someone works in a secure facility, they already use fingerprint/iris scans to get into certain areas.

When it involves a country, it's about entitlement. Who's entitled to services set aside for citizens..and who is not.

For the anti-immigrant folks, this is what's gonna be necessary to "stop the immigrant workers coming her for jobs".. They are the same folks who fear "identification" too, so they have themselves in a bit of a pickle :)

3. we are in the same boat...
they lost their country, and we've lost ours...and it has nothing to do with services for the populace...in either case.
