Gordon Brown and Bush exchange gifts

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007350684,00.html

PRESIDENT Bush has sealed his relationship with new pal Gordon Brown — by giving him a leather bomber jacket.

The jacket has the name Rt Hon Gordon Brown stitched on to a badge. Our picture shows the PM as he might look wearing it.

The jackets are a traditional gift for world leaders invited for a summit at the US President’s Camp David mountain retreat.

In return, the Premier gave Mr Bush a book on Winston Churchill, one of the President’s heroes.

3. Sorry, I'm giggling at the sheer unsuitability of the presents
Gordon B. is the last person who'd normally go around in that sort of bomber jacket. And a BOOK as a present for Dubya???

4. Bush just assumes everyone likes to play dressup
And that his guests, like him, can't remember their names so they need to have them emblazoned on every bit of clothing.

7. I don't get the name- embroidering thing
that seems to go with the office of the POTUS and his attire. There's always some damn jacket whether it's for Marine One, AF 1, Camp David or the WH that has dumbass's name embroidered on the chest. Does he also have underwear with the days of the week like we used to have in nursery school? I know he's not the first to have this weird little jacket thing going on, but he does take it to the extreme. They even tried that whole "Western White House" for a while before that fell out of favor. Not surprising, as it showed the total douchery of his entire image operation.

I bet Gordon Brown laughed his ass off in private since he obviously doesn't need to be reminded of his name by putting it all over his clothing. Then again he doesn't have the massive ego and sense of entitlement the Chimperor has...

I figured Brown gave Bush his spinal column and Bush gave Brown a chew toy and a new doggy bed.
