6. Joe is right that Gonzo COULD excape a purgery charge on this one, but

that's NOT the whole story. Technically Gonzo didn't visit Ashcroft relative to the TSP. THAT's EXACTLY the reason you hear of cases being dismissed on a technicality in the courts. HOWEVER...he failed to mention "the INTENT to deceive"! That is ALSO illegal!

Also I noticed David mentioned that Spector still hasn't received the letter of explaination that he demanded from Gonzo, and was due at Noon today. Spector is pissed because Gonzo is thumbing his nose at HIM! I don't recall where he said he heard, but David said if he doesn't receive that letter he's going to join with the Dems to call for impeachment.

I also loved the tidbit about the area between the DOJ building and the FBI was sooo cold, you could build an ice skating rink there! Even gonzo is Muller's boss, Muller has the intelligence and experience to squash him!

10. Wasn't it named TSP after those attempts

to force Ashcroft to sign and after the meeting with the gang of eight? I heard last night that all the clarification letter to Specter does is suggest that it was the same program but it hadn't been named that yet. That is a higher level of obfuscation.
