Poll question: Should the Commander in Chief take vacation when troops are in harm's way?
Since the Iraqi Congress is taking it easy for the next month,

and our troops have no choice but to sweat it out in Iraq/Afghanistan,

and vacation time is looming for our Great Leader,

I thought it would be timely to ask the public's opinion on this mater...

3. "It's hard work"! Bush once told the audience about his job.
Without his cocaine fix periodically who knows what other insanity he might commit.

6. YES, he should. Because he doesn't care about them anyway, and on vacation, he can do no harm.

8. Historical Precident
Abraham Lincoln never took a day's vacation from his duties in office. Even in the summer, when he and his family stayed at the Soldier's Home to beat the heat, he'd ride back to the White House every day to work (once a sniper shot off his hat). He was known to go over to the telegraph office and spend most of the night after a big battle so he could read the dispatches first hand. When Early's raiders threatened Washington, he went to one of the forts to observe the battle, and drew enemy fire (a young Oliver Wendell Holmes pushed him to a sitting position, saying, "Get down you fool!"). Heck, even his WIFE was with him, and asked for a rifle to shoot back at the rebels!

But then I would expect that from Lincoln. When he volunteered for military duty as a young man, he SERVED and didn't try to get out of it.
