Outside of liberal friends, I've yet to meet one person gives a damn about the whole issue. Most don't even know who I'm talking about if I mention him. Hell, half my liberal friends really don't care.

The news sells whatever is popular, and a slow moving and complex plot line involving separation of powers and Congressional procedure is not going to be that story. Most people would much rather see a puff piece discussing Hillary and Obama fan videos.

too few folks know about it. I tell my nonpolitical friends what's happening at the Justice Department and they are appalled. Almost all Americans believe in a non-partial judiciary system. The problem is too many of my non political friends have let themselves become so out of the loop that this story just glazes their eyes over. Even when they do care it's somewhat temporary. It's not like they are dumb, it's a combination of general disinterest and burnout after years of political scandals. I've more or less let this go and work keeping them up on the war, which for obvious reasons is a much more accessible issue.

My con friends are beyond hope, as "Clinton did it" and "it's not illegal anyway".
