Comment on republics ducking YOUTUBE debate...
there have been several threads about this.. mostly framing it as the republics being cowards, on the other hand the same could be said of Democratic candidates who declined to appear on the debate organized by FAUX NEWS

I have a different take on it:

The YOUTUBE format consists of real people with real concerns asking real questions

if the republics are refusing to listen and answer real questions about real concerns from real people now, what makes anyone think they will listen to us if elected?

we already have an administration living in an bubble - we don't need another

5. lol....done....
just have to make some time tomorrow to finish it up, it will be Monday's toon

I debated over whether or not I should go subtle and pull punch or opt for a blatant uppercut...

 went with the uppercut

2. The K Street debate will not be televised.
Silent auctions don't make for good TV.

4. The Questions You Know vs. The Ones You Don't
The Faux Opinion "debate" is sure to be a rope-a-dope session of every right wing talking point and distortion. Questions like..."do you still favor supporting welfare queens with tax-payer paid abortions?" Or "why do you favor cutting and running". And that's just the questions...be assured in the studio, Britt Fumes, Hannity and others are sure to give a "fair and balanced" evaluation of the answers. And just think of the running scrawl under the screen. As Senator Clinton speaks we'll see something like "nice tatas" or when Obama speaks there'll be "attended a Madrassas"...and so on.

The Repugnicans fear not what they know is coming, but what they can't control. These asshats are used to stacked decks, privilidge and never having to account for themselves. How the hell could they answer a question from some a black person or hispanic or young person that aren't what they want to "discuss". All these shit stains care about is getting 20% of the 25% dead-enders out there...the rest of us don't exist.

I suggest CNN go ahead with the debates...run the qusetions to empty podiums.

How ironic...C-SPAN was showing the questions that didn't get asked of Democrats...most were GOOP talking points. But was there any mention of the GOOPs running away? Of course not. Be assured we'll never see the questions selected...or that we'll ever get any of those scumbags to give an answer. And the corporate media will just let this one pass as well...they'd rather talk about Edwards hair or Hillary's boobies.

8. I just hope they don't cancel the debate.
I really want to see Paul vs. McCain. IMO, they are the top two candidates.

10. I think CNN should go ahead with it
if none of the candidates show up - then set up microphones with cardboard cutouts of them - and do the videos

get blitzer, dobbs, mccafferty on the stage to comment on the questions after pausing to see if any of the cardboard cutouts will answer

do some remote hook-ups with a few of the people who sent in video questions

9. just e-mailed Lou Dobbs with this
Regarding the republican candidates refusal of participating in the CNN/YOUTUBE debate.

If they are refusing to answer real questions, from real Americans about real concerns on real issues now - what makes anyone think they will listen if elected?

We've already been through 7 years of being ignored, we don't need more of the same.

12. as far as I can tell
there's no OFFICIAL answer - and none of the republics have OFFICIALLY accepted or declined

I guess they are waiting to see which side of fence has the best kool-aid
