Paul and Kucinich Team Up to End War

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), both presidential candidates, are co-sponsoring a bill that would end President Bush's authority in Iraq within the next six months, according to Raw Story.

"I think if you approach this from a constitutional viewpoint, we can join hands with the left as well as the right and come up with a solution and get our troops home," Paul said on MSNBC on Tuesday. Besides Kucinich, 18 other Democrats have signed on.

The White House continues to have to postpone diplomatic visits to other parts of the world thanks in large part to troubles in Iraq, according to McClatchy. Recent planned trips to Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America have all been canceled.

1. "End" Bush's authority? Good Christ, the Repub Senators

didn't even want to pass the Webb-Hagel amendment on the grounds that it stepped on Chimpy's toes too much and was "micromanaging" the war. I'm not sure how they can interpret the Constitution to take away the President's authority to conduct the war--but good luck, guys.
