your thoughts about the "YOUTUBE" debate?
I watched it, on the whole - the questions were good, but the answers were like a broken clothes dryer - lots of spin but no heat

Might as well be a tv pilot for a new reality show "Who wants to be a president", the only one missing from the podium was Sanjaya Malakar with his spiked/glued mohawk hair style

1. I'm watching it now as it replays on CSPAN...
I love the YouTube questions -- much more interesting than the usual questions tossed at candidates.

2. I never watched it.
CNN was touting it as some new interactive questioning between candidates and the people. But it was still simply a question and answer session. Why do they call it a debate?

If you can't ask a follow up question, you can't get a straight answer from the candidates.

4. It Was The First One I Watched - I was Suprised
First off my horse was not in the race. I do not support any of the would-be candidates that were at the "debate" last night. All I have is the impressins I got of the ones who were there and they are not good.

First off I disliked the format. I thought most of the questions were childish in their presentation and it was notable that the highest voted question, the debatee's view on impeachment, was never asked. Very disappointing.

The most disappointing in my mind was Obama. While each of the other would-be candidates hovered around questions a good bit at least they would give a straight answer when pushed - Obama was pure spin with every single answer. Very disappointing.

Hillary wasn't much different than Obama. Very disappointing.

Gavel, or whatever his name is, should be tossed off the show. More than disappointing, a waste of time.

Bill Richardson needs to clear up his thought process and calm down. Disappointing, but not so very much.

Dennis Kucinich and Joe Biden do not disappoint. Both came across as thoughtful men with strong policy views that drive their approach to governance. Impressive and not at all disappointing.

John Edwards was impressive. This was not only not disappointing but suprising to me. Where I expected spin the man gave substanitive answers. If there was any "winner" I would have to say it was clearly Edwards.

I'm not sure why Chris Dodd is running and nothing last night gave me a clue.

And that's about it.
