Someone who's been pardoned can't claim that testimony would tend to incriminate himself, so he could be forced to testify against Cheney or Bush in any future trial.

Someone who was pardoned can be compelled to testify against others. A Judge can throw a person with a pardon into jail permanently on contempt charges if he refuses to testify.

I'm following this in the NYT. No cable. Atleast two people gave testimony in 04 to the GJ about conversations that Libby has now testified bto he either doesn't temember, or says didn't occur.
