I Saw SICKO Yesterday And Was Able To Grab.....

.....the crowds attention as they were rolling the credits........I found a seat on the outside about two rows up near the exit and sat and watched this wonderfully eye opening Documentary. Michael Moore has done a great job at exposing just how unlucky Americans are in regards to their health care even if you are wealthy with the best coverage that is still no promise of receiving great care.


Anyhow yesterday before I went to see SICKO I sat down and with my word processor and put together a flyer that had a header that said......Are You Sick Enough Yet in the flyer I asked the question...Just how much health care could be bought for 12 Billion Dollars???,the cost per month we are spending in Iraq.....It would figure out to about 600k for each person in America dies without heath care each year....Then I asked If they were sick of being in Iraq......

In my flyer I put the link to the Downing Street Memos....one of the Impeach Bush website ...a few quotes where the the White House contradict themselves shamelessly.......and the phone numbers and email addresses of each Senator and H.of.Rep from Tennessee,Mississippi,and Arkansas.

As soon as the credits started to roll I stood up and asked everyone for just a minute of their time and ASKED Are You Sick Enough Yet I asked by a clap of hands who felt it was time to get out of Iraq almost everyone clapped....I asked who felt they felt safer today than on 9/12...no one clapped.....I asked if the movie changed their mind for the positive about Universal Health Care...everyone clapped....I then said we are spending 12 billion dollars a month in Iraq and much much more on no bid contracts and Homeland Security that is broke and a cash cow....I then said if you want to see change then we need a change in the occupants of the White House congress is talking about impeachment I said but we need to put the pressure on and keep it on until they do the will of the people who elected them....impeaching this administration is just a start not a cure we must find candidates that want UHC as well and said thank you for the time.....there were about 50 in attendance and I had only a few left.....I also left the theater quickly to.....can you say....exit stage left....

Im glad I pastored for a while public speaking is for the most part a breeze.....

6. Great work rsmith, could you share the document you distributed?

Helderheid's pdf was nice but I'd like something more subject specific. If your handout works well, we could expand the influence by at least a factor of 100 by spreading it around the country. Even better might be optimizing the emotional impact to affect more of the people who get the handout.
