We need more sex therapists - or, why would a grown man wear diapers?
First of all, let me just say that most of the valid arguments against prostitution would "disappear" if prostitution were legalized and properly regulated. No more pimps. The spread of STD's would go down since the ladies would have to be checked regularly. who would go to an illegal prostitute if they could go to a licensed professional? Runaways would no longer be "pimped out". Again, why run that risk if it's not necessary?
Second, let me add that the "good" professionals are not "whores", but are actually psychiatrists. Many times, the "high-class" ladies are paid just to "listen". Or to do things that the customer would be afraid to ask his/her spouse to do. And let's be honest, this need goes across gender lines.
For instance, why would a man with an attractive, loving wife and pretty much everything that any man could ask for - why would this man PAY to run the risk of ruining his life so that he can dress up in a diaper for a sexual liason?

Well, first of all, how many men would admit to their wife that they have that fantasy in the first place?

BUT, the important thing is, WHY does he feel that need? Is he just sinful, kinky, and deviant? Is it SATAN making him feel that need?

To some of us it's obvious! Somewhere during his sexual and psychological growth "sex" became a "nasty", "naughty" thing that no moral adult would willing enjoy. So, he had to revert back to a stage of "innocence" in order to allow himself to enjoy pure physical pleasure that he had been taught was "wrong".

Being sexually stimulated by wearing diapers sounds pretty strange to most of us. But most of us probably weren't as repressed sexually as this guy was.

Part of being a good bartender is being a good listener and being part psychiatrist. It's even more important to being a good prostitute.

Yes, it's ironic that the people who need a good prostitute/ sexual therapist/ psychiatrist are the ones who try the hardest to preach against such things. Have you ever noticed that the people who really need to see a therapist are the ones who cry the loudest that therapists are "quacks" and say that people who see them are "weak"?

We really need more trained, legal sex therapists in this country.

1. Freud's unpopular around these parts,
but I can't put together the infantilism thing without referring back to him.

5. I think a lot of that is because of Freud's "Oedipus Complex"
thing. And I think he was wrong about that. Most men want to "marry" (that is, "be taken care of") their mother but most men don't want to have sex with their mother.

Nope, I think we can lay the blame completely on Organized Religion. Not just Christianity, because although it is complicit it wasn't the first and it's not th only religion at fault today. One day, some witch-doctor realized that he could have more control over his brain-washed subjects if they would just stop screwing around so much. So, he declared that it was "dirty" and that if you wanted to please the God or Gods you had to refrain from enjoying yourself so much.

So, then, the beautiful, natural act of making love between two people suddenly became "dirty". And since it is most certainly NOT dirty but in fact an integral part of our very being - the psychological conflict has scarred every civilization since then.

4. In all seriousness
I think there is probably more than one road to Rome. The proverbial arm-chair psychiatrist quip has been that repressing sexuality is to develop some odd fetishes. AFAIK, there waters of sexual development and fetishes are murky ones.

7. You are very probably right!
But, since it's generally taboo to even consider the possibilities, how and when are we to know?

10. Good point
Research on sexuality is generally stymied in this nation by our collective civil-religious sexual ethic. Sex is bad, dirty, and we should all just pretend it doesn't exist.

8. That was pretty bad. But just to show that I can do you one even worse -
Q: What does 80-year-old p*ssy taste like?
A: Depends!

OK, that was so bad that if it gets deleted my feelings won't be hurt at all. I just can't bring myself to do a self-delete.....

9. If the man has a fetish, isn't it healthy to act on it instead of represssing it?
My problem with the guy is that if anyone else were caught doing this, he'd be the first to condemn them.

12. I have my theories
First off, I don't think that one can apply the word "normal" to sexual matters. There are kinks galore. Be it object, body part or whatever. Chances are, if it exists, someone somewhere finds it sexually stimulating.

That being said, I believe that our sexual proclivities/kinks are formed during very early childhood - the toddler/toilet training stage to be exact. My guess is that Vitter may have had an emotionally cold mother and that his only moments of maternal closeness were during diaper changes. Simply put, he equates sensuality with memories of having his nappies changed.

But that's just my BS theory.

13. You're really projecting your morality onto someone else here.
Some guys like to hang heavy weights from their testicles. Some people like to get tied up and whipped. As long as it's two consenting adults who cares what they do?

The point of the Vitter thing is his being a hypocrite, not the fact that he has fantasies that you have deemed immoral and that you have deemed he needs therapy for. Who are you to decide and judge? Sounds like you need to stay out of other people's bedrooms. I thought that's what people who frequented this board were for.

19. " need more sex therapists "
How many children in America see the bull fucking the cow these days?
How many children even know that hamburgers come from cows?
How many children have seen a cow?

When Half the world lives in the cities these days?

It goes much deeper than that.

21. are you aware that no sex therapist can change an orientation or a fetish?
Edited on Wed Jul-18-07 12:31 PM by pitohui
we don't especially need more sex therapists if the purpose is to change people's desires, since it is already well-established that you cannot change a person's sexual desires

next question?

oh, and when a whore goes to college and then to medical school for 12 years then she can get back to me about how she's a psychiatrist
