Right hand thief: Vitter's statement "guarantees" that he will be forced to resign
http://righthandthief.blogspot.com/

Vitter: "Unfortunately my admission has encouraged some longtime political enemies, and those hoping to profit from the situation, to spread falsehoods too-- like those New Orleans stories in recent reporting. Those stories are not true."

This statement virtually guarantees that Vitter will be forced to resign sometime this year, probably in weeks, as more disclosures and corroborative evidence is unveiled. He can't lie his way out of this. What Vitter's seemingly implying-- that his sinful "actions" occurred only in D.C.-- is so utterly ridiculous based on what I know that I can't believe he's trying to get away with it.

Louisianans won't forgive Vitter if it's shown that the "New Orleans stories" are substantially true.

3. So, blitzen, what of these "New Orleans stories" did I miss?
I have been somewhat out of touch and tune of late.

7. Thank you. I was wondering.
Something makes me think that Larry Flynt will destroy the self-righteous little creep.

10. A few other tidbits from the link you provided.......
Other reports: A trusted source for YRHT claimed that Vitter was indeed a client at Canal Street, and that he was into diapers, among other unusual fetishes. Noladishu also posted about Vitter's "sick fetishes", and linked to a blog reporting that one of Vitter's commercial romances was "blessed with issue", and that he has a child living in Alexandria, VA.

11. I don't think he gave his wife the full story...
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 03:34 AM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...and judging from the body language between them today it didn't look like she thinks she got the full story either.

I'm sure God will forgive him, again -- I don't know about Wendy.

12. What about the story of him talking to prostitutes by cell phone on the Senate floor?
And did he have phone sex with them during the votes? Any truth to that and could the Senate compel him to turn over his own phone records as part of an ethics investigation? And furthermore, was he putting himself into a position where someone with the "goods" on him be able to blackmail him and either compromise the integrity of his vote or any sensitive government information he might be privy to as a U.S. Senator?
