| Shouldn't our troops in Iraq get the month of August off too? |
|
If the whole Iraqi parliament can take a fucking month off, why can't our troops?
How well will this go over with the general American public? Or do I give them too much credit for common sense?

| 1. Well, if I bought into the whole "Iraq is sovereign", "We're there to help" |
|
bullshit, I might be angry...but since I don't buy into all that bullshit, I find it damn near impossible to work up any outrage over it.
Iraq isn't keeping America in Iraq - America is keeping America in Iraq.

| 2. And our congress and bush will be taking off too - make any sense |
|
at all? No. If everything is so vital, you can't take vacations. But, that would make sense and I can't make any sense of any part of this war.

| 8. we need a resolution that keeps Congress in session as long as troops |
|
are in harms way. Make these friggin congress critters work 7 days a week, 16 hours a day until the troops come home. Make them earn their money we pay them.

| 3. Wouldn't it be great to promote such an idea! Bush and our Iraq puppets in charge take off for |
|
August. Everyone gets to go home for the month. Our US soldiers spreading democracry, the insurgents (freedom fighters), Al Queada (or whatever the terrorist of the day is). August is vacation time, it is too hot to war.

| 6. No, GIs aren't "To The Manor Born Americans" like Prima-Donna |
|
politicians who the corporations fund. Deep Down in Washington, GIs don't mean nothin' again, just like during the last war.
"Supporting the troops," is really only for photo ops, or for make believe excuses for politicians to USE as leverage, to get the wonderful things that the politicians want. Behind the troops backs, the politicians are busy wiping out VA stuff and stuff for the soldiers families back home and making the troops eat rotten food and drink filthy water, supplied by rogue outfits like Halliburton, who support the politician's campaigns.
