The executive privilege why do we have it?
worse than Nixon, Bush and Cheney cover up their administration's wrong doings, stopping their people testifying, giving get out of jail free cards, stonewalling investigations etc.

Why does a constitution allow a mechanism for producing tyranny?

1. It's just a fancy name for a specific manifestation of the separation of powers...
... Do you need an explanation as to why we have *that*?

2. It's not in the constitution, is it?
I thought it was just a meaningless phrase shouted by presidents on the ropes.
