If the People Want Impeachment, Why Can't it Happen?

A Black Agenda Report radio commentary by executive editor Glen Ford

"The corporate media are facilitators of crime."

...................

"Every crime of the Bush administration is directly linked to their service of corporate interests."

It makes no difference that huge blocks of American public opinion want George Bush and Dick Cheney out. Corporate America, the real rulers of the nation, do not want the instability that impeachment would bring. Once the process is started, once the investigations are televised, live, like the Nixon impeachment proceedings, then the dirt would fall like rain. And it is all corporate dirt, because this is the quintessential corporate administration. It exists to serve corporate America. The war in Iraq is a corporate war. The Katrina boondoggle in the Gulf region of the U.S. is an ongoing corporate theft. Every crime of the Bush administration is directly linked to their service of corporate interests, including the draconian "national security" measures that are simply devices to keep crimes, secret. Therefore, no daylight must shine on this presidency.

The point people in the conspiracy to make this administration immune to the rule of law, are the corporate news media. It is a conspiracy of silence. They pretend every day that no crimes are being committed, leaving the field wide open for the Bush men and women to concoct felonies previously unknown to American society. It is imperative that the people understand that the corporate media are not journalists; they are facilitators of crime.

administration and corporate America is so intertwined that it would be boggling to reasonable minds. It also may be playing a hindrance in bringing impeachment to the table. I wonder if the HOuse just doesn't know where to start. I just wish the members of the House, so inclined, would pick one reason and go for it to get these men out of office. There are alot...go for one!

edit: spelling

4. Do you remember this from 2004?
http://www.theyrule.net/

Not sure how updated it is but it speaks to your concern about how deep this admin is with the corporate mafia...

Find a company and then look at its directors and how many other corporate entities they are connected to... sickening and not a little frightening.

6. Oh yes! I remember. It's something everyone needs to know and
to consider while watching this home grown soap opera of a government! IMHO

5. See my post on the new corporate/fascist phrase "ballot-box government"
(i.e., democracy) which I stumbled over in a Sacramento Bee rightwing column this morning (ostensibly on California demographics, that is, too many brown-skinned voters)...

They're getting very worried about the successes of the transparent vote counting movement, is my read on it.

"If the People Want Impeachment, Why Can't it Happen?" Cuz that would be too democratic.
