Why is CNN International slightly better than CNN's domestic service?
I was just watching news from CNN International and I am struck by the quality and contrast of the CNN International coverage with the ordinary CNN coverage. While it maybe a little skewed, the CNN International coverage is more detailed and has more actual news. The domestic CNN coverage is so biased, sugary, and fluffed. There more stories about missing kids, Brad and Angelina moving to New Orleans, who got kicked off American Idol or whatever. I feel like regular CNN insults my intelligence.

1. Simple
Americans are used to mindless content-free news and propaganda.
The rest of the world won't stand for it.

7. The CBC in Canada is pretty good too.
In Seattle, I could get CBC's News on Comcast Cable but now that I am in Spokane, Comcast here does not have it which I find strange since Spokane is not that far from Canada. I want to try to get Comcast here to provide the CBC and not just for the news but for some of the good shows.

8. I always tell my British friends about American CNN

They're skeptical about the difference until they see it for themselves.

A friend of mine visited last year- her response was "you were right, mate. Your news is dreck."
