Got thru to C-SPAN earlier this morning

and I have DU to thank for what I was able to say.

The question was, "What would the Founding Fathers think of today's America?"
I called on the line saying they would be displeased.

They'd be displeased at least with one political situation, and what's more, I can tell you exactly what two of them would say and why they'd say it.

George Mason would say, "The President has commuted the sentence of someone, ostensibly to protect his own office. What do we do?"

And James Madison would say, "That's what the House of Representatives has impeachment for. They better get to it!"

And how do I know they'd say this? Because they DID say it. At the Constitutional Convention. They envisioned exactly this scenario, and that was their remedy.

Great that you got through. I got on once. I was a babbling idiot. Next time I call I'm at least going to have some quickly scrawled notes in front of me. Idiotic as it may seem I was nervous as a whore in church when the call went through.

and I thought the way the phone lines were set up were good for a change because, a person could say that the founding fathers could be pleased and then also say why they wouldn't while explaining how bushco is destroying the country.
