Poll question: How many times do you write your Representative or senator each month?
Edited on Fri Jun-29-07 09:12 AM by liberaldemocrat7
When you write to a representative who belongs to the republican
party because you appear stuck with this person, and or
stuck with 2 Republican senators, or if you sometimes
write to Republican leaders John Boehner and Mitch McConnell
include the following phrase at the end of your letter:

"Until the legislation and/or actions I ask for, gets passed
I will boycott products from Republican contributors
Dell Computers, Walmart, Wendy's, Outback Steak House,
Dominos Pizza, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Eckerd,
CVS and Walgreens, Curves for women health clubs,
General Electric and Exxon/Mobil."

1. I write twice a month on average
to Tom Davis R-VA11th, to support House Res. 333 to impeach Cheney. I write to Senators Warner and Webb once a month. I just wrote all three yesterday.

You should also ask if anyone has ever met with their Congressman. Our impeachment committee did that and we are scheduled for a rematch in August. On Tuesday I went to an ACLU rally and afterwards they arranged for us to lobby our Senators regarding restoring habeas corpus. I stayed for one but not the other as I was feeling ill from the heat.

It's a lot easier for me to go up to Capitol Hill than it is for most people as I only live 30 miles from D.C. but remember, you can call toll free from anywhere in the country. Just check out http://www.house.gov and http://www.senate.gov for more information.
