Poll question: Ann Coulter compared with a KKK member or Neo-Nazi -- is there a difference?
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 04:25 PM by Sparkly
In terms of hate speech, lies, prejudices, fomenting division, etc., is there a difference? Is the rhetoric vilifying black people and Jews worse than what Ann Coulter says of "liberals" (including her derision of non-heterosexuals, non-Christians, etc.?)

If it is the same, why doesn't Tweety have the others on his show?

Sorry, polls are turned off at Level 3.

1. I thought Ann Coulter was the poster girl for the KKK?

2. Apples and Oranges
KKK has a longer history. Many of the earlier members to varying extents were products of their time. A 50yr old man in 1875 Georgia joining the Klan is not the same as a 25yr old in 1995 joining the skinheads.

Or did you mean the difference between AC and a Skinhead. Well Ann doesn't have a Swastika Tattoo. At least not one we can see.

4. Most of the KKK wear bedsheets over their heads to hide their identities.
Ann wears hers so the other Klansmen are spared the horror of her face (and adam's apple).

5. She's worse in one important way: Her media reach.
Her message of hate and death is not much different, but she has a platform. That makes her worse, and I should have voted that way.

6. Can you imagine what would happen
if a democrat got on TV and talked about the republicans, calling them outrageous names, telling people to kill them etc. The republicans would descend on the TV station and tear it apart.

7. Coulter is no different from a KKK member or a Nazi.
Except some of them are smarter.
