County's 'Most Annoying Neighbor' Heads Back To State Prison
County's 'Most Annoying Neighbor' Heads Back To State Prison

A man known as Seminole County's most annoying neighbor because his yard has remained filled with junk and other items, including a statue of a giant buttocks, is heading back to state prison.

Thursday, a judge determined that Alan Davis repeatedly violated his probation for spreading junk on his front yard and ordered him locked up again.

Four years ago, a jury convicted Davis of criminal littering after he spread junk in his yard.

Davis served more than two years for the offense but after his release prosecutors said Davis failed to tell his probation officer where he was traveling to.

Davis has called his trash-filled yard a political protest against Seminole County government.
Local 6 showed video of Davis' yard still filled with junk Thursday before his court date.

"Why don't you just clean up your yard, stop fighting with the government and serve out your probation and be a free man again?" Local 6's Mike DeForest said.

1. I'm of two minds on this. The junk is a clear hazard, but it's his own damned yard
I wonder if there is some mental illness involved, though.

5. Of COURSE he'd call it a "political protest." Just his excuse for being an asshole.
The same excuse that so many other assholes use for their assholedness.

8. Two years in prison?
For having *junk* in your yard?

No wonder this country is the largest cager of human beings on the planet.

And even soi disant "liberals" think this is fine..

12. "soi-disant?" Christ, I haven't seen that in twenty years or more.
Hey, he wants to have a bunch of ugly crap in his yard, he can put up a fence in order to avoid inflicting it upon his neighbors.

17. Not true. I did say he could have built a fence. That doesn't have anything to do
with being Liberal or not. Does it, now?

18. What does building a fence have to do ..
With this country being the largest cager of human beings on the planet?

It's an uncomfortable subject and damn few want to talk about it.

23. And I don't argue with people who have no answers to any questions..
Not a very good dodge, Redstone.

I find it both disquieting and revealing how few "liberals" or "progressives" will discuss the outrageously high incarceration rate in the USA.

And then I find "liberals" and "progressives" applauding the fact that a man is being sent to prison for having "junk" in his yard.

You get the country you deserve.

How 'bout 30 days, during which time the county hauls away the junk?

14. Minor correction: To prove they're "right." Found out how "right" he is,
didn't he? You make a damn good point with your post.

He could have just put a fence around his yard to spare his neighbors his "political statement," but no...
