Museum group sued by fellow creationists
MONEY AND 'ACTING IN AN UNBIBLICAL FASHION' AT THE ROOT
By Andy Mead

There is trouble in paradise, with a fight of biblical proportions raging between a Kentucky-based creationist group and the Australian group from which it sprang.

Three days after the Memorial Day opening of Answers in Genesis' $27 million Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky, a group called Creation Ministries International filed suit in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Among other things, the suit claims the Kentucky group stole subscribers for its Answers magazine by claiming that the Australians' Creation magazine was "no longer available."

1. Wow, who woulda guessed the builders of a "Creation Museum" might be dishonest grifters?
Oh, wait...I woulda. Just like most sane people everywhere.

2. I learned real quick to be wary of any customer or vendor that loudly
proclaimed their holiness. My boss at that time was a sucker for those modern day Tartuffe's

8. A truly enlightening experience for only 20 bucks a ticket. What are we waiting for?
Oh yeah, Hell hasn't frozen over yet. *snaps fingers* darn it.

12. And because of the creationist in chief, it could be a long
time before we see much ice.

4. They're so sleazy.
The museum only lets you walk one way. It's kind of like the Stations of the Cross, but in the end you get screwed.

10. Ohhh..there's no passage in their bible that says:
"Thou shalt not steal?"

This must be the reason why so many con-artist, con-servative "religious" groups, which are really political action committees, have been springing up under the guise of "non-denominational christian."

No denomination history means no record and they can make up all their interpretations as they choose. . .which is one reason why lying appears to be such a cherished foundational belief among these organizations.

11. They really do seem to avoid the big 10 dont they?
Especially the ones about "thou shalt not steal" and "love thy neighbor".

14. Never thought about the ND designation. That way they can make it
up as they go along. Convenient.

15. I believe that stealing
is covered under the "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods." I think coveting pretty much describes the fundie creationists' entire philosophy. It might not save their "immortal soul" but it sure as hell gives comfort in these "difficult" times.
