ICRC: Security situation in Afghanistan deterioriating.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/6743409.stm

An interesting tidbit found in the stories about the 7 Afghan policemen is mention of a report by the International Committee for the Red Cross

In a report marking 20 years of its work in Afghanistan, the ICRC said life for ordinary people in Afghanistan was getting worse.

"It's really had a heavy price in terms of the population, both in terms of wounded and in terms of killed and people displaced so it's a very worrying situation," the ICRC's director of operations, Pierre Kraehenbuhl, said.

We cannot afford to forget the policies of the Bush administration are consistent. Consistent in lacking exit strategies and compassionate, equitable and competitive reconstruction. This should surprise no one since he boldly disavowed nation building in one of his first presidential debates. I suppose he must consider the Marshall plan and our relations with the Japanese after WWII to be a dismal failure.

When shall we see George W. Bush and his warmongering buddies in irons at The Hague?
