We just opened four new DU Groups:

Anthropology Group

Mission statement: The DU Anthropology group is a place for amateurs, professionals, and enthusiasts to discuss topics of physical and cultural anthropology, including the relevance of the subject to today's political and historical events.

Peacemaking and Community Group

Pro-Choice Group

Mission statement: The mission of the DU Pro-choice group is to bring together like-minded progressive individuals, to collaborate on ideas to protect the right of every woman to make personal reproductive health decisions and choices. This forum supports a woman's right to privacy and choice based upon medical consultation, a woman's conscience and those in which she chooses to confide. The DU Pro-Choice group supports Roe v. Wade and complete reproductive freedom for women of all races, creeds, religions and backgrounds.

Public Transportation and Smart Growth DU Group

Mission statement: The mission of the Public Transportation and Smart Growth group is to promote alternatives to America's overdependence on the private car, whether through improvements in public transportation or through smart growth, also known as walking communities, where all amenities are within walking or cycling distance of each other and modes of transport other than the private car are given priority.


If you want your groups to be successful, you need to make sure that you get the word out! Tell everyone who has expressed interest, or whom you think might be interested in participating. Post a few threads to let people know.

And don't forget to add these forums to your "My Forums" list, and go post there!

Please kick and recommend this thread to make sure more DUers see it.
