and refuse to hold THEM accountable. It's more important to call others pansies.

When asked whether it's okay for anyone to strap electronic crap onto city bridges, and same DU'ers can't come up with a straight answer.

11. Does it bother you at all that the authorities didn't notice them for 2 weeks?
they have been up for 2 weeks in 10 cities - and finally someone noticed them yesterday.

That should bother you a lot more.

15. No of course not.
It always takes a camera crew to drag the mock righteous fury out of a political establishment like the city of Boston.

17. Hear, hear.
I think if they were bombs we would have known about it last week sometime - ie, those who went rushing to blow them apart with water cannon yesterday would have missed them if they were bombs set with even a week-long delay fuse.

Now that should piss people off. But it's easier to blame a couple of kids for doing something that might have gotten them a $25 fine, pre-9/11.

12. Of course it is not ok
Although it does concern me that stuff was put up, in plain sight, and stayed there in some cases for two weeks before people allegedly responsible for "fighting terror" condescended to notice. That kind of homeland protection is worthy of derision.
