I don't want a President that cares about this country
I want a President that cares about the entire world.
I'm tired of the isolation. I'm tired of the apologists that pretend that just because Miss America was booed in Mexico, it is about immigration.
Our country is a worldwide bully. More and more we will see anti-American sentiments cropping up even in previously friendly countries.
Americans are in danger because our country endangers the well-being of the citizens of the world.
Someone needs to fix that image. That's who I will vote for.

1. Yes, I want a DIPLOMAT, not a war-monger
for president. It's shameful to be so nationalist and ethnocentric in an interdependent world.

7. A real war-monger might have run wars competently.
* just sold us out to the corporate war-mongers, then kept his Big Boy Commander Guy uniform despite an inability to manage his way out of a wet paper bag.

5. We have a President, right now, in the White House, who says he went to war to help the Iraqi people
that is, he put the interest of Iraq ahead of America's best interests.

He talks about freedom, roads, schools, medical care... IN IRAQ.

Sincere or not (I think we can all agree he is full of shit), it reminds us of what happens when we have a President who doesn't care about his own country.

4. Just as long as the damage to OUR infrastructure and OUR laws are fixed...
...then, yeah, I'm down with that. But the post-Katrina handling of New Orleans is still a sore spot with many of us.

8. Many countries offered a helping hand
They were smacked down.
Insults like that aren't helpful.:(

11. No one expects a US president to care about Louisiana

None of them ever have, none of them ever will.

6. I want someone who understand the limited constitutional role of the executive
I don't want to "look up" to a President. I don't want to see his or her picture hanging on post office walls. I don't want to see a State of the Union address televised like a sweeps-week show. I don't want the celebrity atmosphere to continue. I want a chief executive, not a king.

Not that I'm going to get it, of course.

9. If Bush starts World War III, it will be the rest of the world against
us, and frankly that scares the shit out of me. He's just arrogant enough to do it too.

10. I want a President who puts humanity first.
And I don't mean at the expense of all other lifeforms, smartasses who are about to respond so.

I don't give a shit about countries, corporations or cash. I care about people.
