Why doesn't Obama campaign harder in the primary states to the end?

Why doesn't Obama campaign harder in the primary states to the end?
I know he wants to focus on the GE but I think it's also important to win SD and Montana by as big of margin as possible. He tends to not campaign as hard as Hillary does in these states. For instance he's concentrating on Minnesota today and a new poll (probably way off) is giving HIll a 26-point lead in SD and Obama only a 4-point lead in Montana. I hate to see him limping across the finish line. Yes, he will be the nominee but I wish he would focus on getting as big of wins as possible that will shut the pundits up and give Hillary less ammunition.
