Boy did I empty my Ignore list too soon

I emptied my ignore list after IN and NC because I had hoped so much all of us could start working together again for the Dem candidate. I saw someone start a thread where they said they had emptied their Ignore list and felt good about it. I posted that I did too right after IN and NC and had hoped that we could all come together and defeat McCain. I said I knew how it felt to support someone who didn't win because I was a huge Dean supporter but did support Kerry when Dean didn't win. Well, someone started a thread where they twisted the words of the people who said they emptied their Ignore lists and said some nasty things and said they want us to put them back on Ignore for good. I didn't respond to them because I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of saying something nasty to me. And so many people K&R'ed that thread. What kind of people are these? I don't think it is even about Hillary v. Obama anymore. They didn't get their way so they just want to HATE. I am a very, very kind hearted person who doesn't hurt people feelings and have tried hard to be sensitive about Hillary supporters who really love her. But if they want to be this Obama supporter's Ignore list forever, they get their wish. I never want to hear from people so vile and full of hate. And they say that we are the hateful ones. Sorry for the rant. I know there are all kinds of people in the world, but I really get amazed when I see someone so full of hate they won't even accept someone else's good intentions and thoughful words. UGH. :argh:

1. As soon as the nomination is locked up many of the people who can't adjust

will be tombstoned. Until them my ignore list will stay fully loaded. I had gotten to the point where I hated to log onto DU until I went hogwild with the ignore function. Prior to the primaries I had had one person on ignore. Now I have 60-something. :(

2. I guess I am just naive

I really thought that I could empty that list and we could all be friends again. I really underestimated how angry and hate filled some of those Hillary people are. I don't see the Obama supporters acting like HRC supporters are doing now if Hillary would have won the primary fairly.

3. Some of them are getting worse

I don't think I have anyone on my ignore list because of politics. I'm ignoring people who insulted me personally rather than the position I took, in both political and other threads. I'm going to keep ignoring those people.

5. There are two of them in particular

That I really think are posting things that insult and aggravate Obama supporters just for kicks. They really seem to enjoy upsetting people. There is one that I think needs some serious mental help with their anger. They scare me. :scared:

I didn't empty mine - there are some who will never make their way out of my dungeon - but I did lighten it. Quite a bit. But sheesh, that didn't last long. And along with the returnees, I even added a new name...a name I don't remember seeing until today.

I'm sick to death of this primary.
