Obama's "relationship" with William Ayers
Edited on Sun Feb-17-08 04:53 AM by usregimechange
Ayers, who is now a professor of education at the University of Illinois, was once a radical anti Vietnam war activist who was part of an organization that bombed the Pentagon, resulting in property damage. 30 years later he was on a board of directors of an anti-poverty group that Obama served on (Woods foundation). He also donated 200$ to his campaign.

So, the fear is that the GOP will use this to attack Obama. Obama once served on an anti-poverty board with a person who once was a part of a group who once bombed government buildings "after calling in bomb-threats and making sure their target buildings were evacuated" (Wiki).

Proof positive that Obama is a Muslim terrorist. :eyes:

Maybe Obama folks should start posting about the Clinton's partner criminal Susan McDougal? "She is most notorious for refusing to answer "three questions" for a grand jury about whether President Bill Clinton lied in his testimony during her Whitewater trial. Her refusal lead to 18 months jail time for contempt of court, which was most of her total 22 months of incarceration. McDougal received a full Presidential pardon from outgoing President Clinton in the final hours of his presidency in 2001." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_McDougal

I don't think I will but the Rove tactics from the Clinton folks is starting to make me wonder if it will get this bad.

1. Fortunately, Obama has a great response team.
So far they have been on top of each thing as it rolls down the sewer pipe and have dealt with it effectively. They always get right into it within the same news cycle. The Clinton whiners on DU don't bother me much.

2. There has been so much information...
posted in this campaign season it's amazing. I did not know half the crap that surrounds the Clinton's. The attacks on Obama have resulted in my learning far more about him too, but so far every negative attack has amounted to diddley-squat. I think when the republicans go after Obama it will have the same boomerang effect it had on the Clinton's.

3. Obama's people can turn attacks into making her
look stupid. They are very good and if I was her I might think about not attacking. For every ad she does his come backs make her look immature for attacking. Kind of like when you face a bully and they go running with tail between them.

I was telling a friend of mine this is the big difference that could win the primary and general for him. In other campaigns even Kerry's (and I liked kerry) his people just didn't know how to fight back without looking whiney about it.

I think thats the most important thing how you fight back to attacks.

5. I think that needs it own spot on the GD-P. I can post it if you have used your 3
We should just remind everyone that the GOP can dig up dirt on anyone and that it is sort of a shot across the bows.

as BCCI figgures. Bill Clinton and Bushes have been accepting MILLIONS from those associations for years and even more millions recently from Dubai.

Use THAT in any exchange with Clinton supporters or GOP hacks.

7. The Larry Johnson
article on HuffPo about this (also in GDP I think, did not click) is BEYOND BELIEF in its spitefulness and rovian-like attacks and innuendos.
