PVU, PVU, PVU
Who are you going to vote for?
O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma

Great set of photos here too. This shows them in the line to vote once they got to the courthouse too.

3. And a spattering of
"Hillary Clinton!"

Nevertheless, wonderful.

I'm pretty sure that this is the type of thing that our future first lady was referring to.

When I get home, I'm sending an email to their newspaper telling them how proud I am of what they did. What a creative, forceful way to get their point across! :applause:

5. Give us all that address so we can send a letter too
Great idea dg!

Hey plant a meme into the campaigner that's visiting you, that a certain someone should swing by Prairie View on his way home. Don't you think that would make great news?

8. What a BEAUTIFUL SIGHT: FREEDOM IS ON THE MARCH!!!
It brings tears to my eyes, that soooooo many young people would MARCH for Change.

I hope the A**hole who decided to try and disenfranchise these young voters is voted out of office, if he was voted in at all.

I also hope Senator Obama puts this up on his website. I think this is what Michelle Obama was referring too, about being proud of her country, when soooo many people refuse to be denied the right to vote.

How can so many people NOT get it?.?.?

13. McCain has no chance. No chance at all. Zero.
I forsee massive Dem wins in November. The presidential election is gonna bring huge numbers to kick the pukes out of Washington and the state houses. The pukes see the writing on the wall too. The corporations are probably scared too that their grip on power is waning. For that reason we can look forward to the media continuing to ignore things like this march and pretend they still own all the information.

The internet is changing everything. Cliche I know. But whatever.

20. hmm
Maybe. I think the number of vacant seats and activism by the liberal end of the party, combined with the republican inspired war, recession, and debt might be enough to make the difference in the Senate. I don't think either Democratic candidates have positioned themselves to do much in the general election, both are just too damned parsed in their positions of opposition and too corporate friendly.

Also the Democrats failure to oppose the republicans in greater numbers and more effectively is blurring the lines too much. They have failed to capitalize on the Republican's historical level of obstructionism and fillibuster, Bush's abysmally low numbers, and horrible positions that the repug's have taken. They failed strategically, politically, and even ethically in some cases, and they are damned lucky no one is calling them on their lack of spinal column right now.

I have not been affected by Obamania, but after talking with a young man who is, I'm not going to stand in his way. I don't remember young people of all races and classes ever being so enthusiastic about voting, so more power to them.

21. I work evenings, so I never watched it to start with
Wouldn't make much difference if I did. I don't tend to get swept away by charisma, though I can recognize it when I see it. If young people have been "waiting for the world to change" before they felt their actions could bear fruit, than maybe this is it.
