Part 4 (last one) of James Zogby's interview with Helen Thomas on Valentine's Day of this year.

Continues Zogby's segment for caller Q/A. Questions include:
1) How has this administration impeded so many investigations?
2) Have you thought about packing up and leaving the country where one might have more freedom, etc.?
3) Her thoughts on the Infraguard force that can implement lethal force by private business?
4) Her thoughts on Bush administration destroying older documents and information and getting away with it.
5) Why is US against Iran developing nuclear capabilities to defend against neighbors who do have nuclear capabilities?
6) How come noone is talking about the national debt?
7) Advice for women over 50 to fight against age discrimination in the workplace.
8) Will the upcoming president be blamed for the existing problems like Carter did about the Vietnam War aftermath?

1. Infraguard, at their best they are a CO-OP between FBI and the Tech infrastructure
private business in America. But some in their ranks have come out to say they have been given order what to do "WHEN" not if Martial law is called.

Infraguard on it's website (Infraguard.com , what would you call your private army) denies this. Progressive.org has reported it as the case.

Would BUSHCO do anything like that? It needs more looking into, me thinks. Many in infraguard it seems signed up to "do the right thing" and "see something" "say something", but did not sign up for deputy sheriff.

2. SPEAKING OF THIS INFRAGUARD
I hadn't heard of it, and don't know how credible it is, but I personally did see the paper sent by the US government that my boss filled out and faxed back to the US intelligence. They said they wanted to know who they could use as a point of contact to monitor employee computer usage and phone usage at our site. He actually used himself and left it in the copier. Be aware that they have gotten some right wing nut job in every major company to agree to spy on you with no warrants or protection. They are doing it voluntarily. Welcome to Hitler's Germany today.

4. You're the only person I've "seen" who has actual first hand experience of
its existence and it's dastardly REAL agenda. Start hollering! I'll back ya.

6. And another thank you for posting these here. I'm going to subscribe to your
YouTube channel. I wish young, upcoming reporters would pay attention to Helen, Cronkite and others of their kind, to begin representing the American people in our search for the truth once again.

7. Thanks... Don't have a lot of experience with this...

These were the first video clips I created for Youtube. It was a learning experience yesterday doing so, which probably took more time out of my day than I should have let happen with other things on my plate. But after seeing that show on Friday evening, I felt that it really needed to be seen by folks here and other places, especially with the DU connection on it.

I might put some more stuff up on it later, but probably not really quickly! :) Also, as a Yahoo employee, I'm sure that my employers would want me not to become too big a name on that site! :)

9. It's on weekly on Link TV on Thursdays and repeated on Saturdays..

If you have satellite TV, you should be able to get it. I have Dish Network, which also gives me Free Speech TV, which gives me more viewing time offerings for Democracy Now that Link TV also carries. The guy who asked Infraguard actually mentions Link TV and Democracy Now where he references that question from. Get satellite TV if you don't have it (and I'd recommend Dish Network for more progressive content, and also since Rupert Murdoch's Newscorp has ownership stake in DirectTV, which I think he indirectly controls now through large control of Liberty Communications, which they "exchanged" DirectTV to for stock ownership, probably to keep anti-trust people at bay). It's completely worth it! News Corp has been trying to use MySpace like they used DirectTV to get controlling stock in Yahoo too where I work. Not looking forward to either that prospect or Microsoft owning us.

10. Nope, no TV at all other than two local stations, but I know if it's important,
it'll probably end up here on DU. :hi:
