Edwards' speech at Riverside Church on MLK Day 2007 edited to Copeland's "Fanfare for the Common Man"

" Martin Luther King III to John Edwards: I challenge all candidates to follow your lead"
…I appreciate that on the major issues of health care, the environment, and the economy, you have framed the issues for what they are - a struggle for justice. And, you have almost single-handedly made poverty an issue in this election."

That's good for Edwards that it's that bizzzy, but a bummer for me.

3. Speaking at Riverside on MLK Day sends a powerful message for those who remember
Just as beginning his campaign in New Orleans did.

In April 4, 1967, at Riverside Church, exactly one year before he was "taken out" in Memphis, Dr. King delivered one of his greatest speeches.

I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly begin the shift from a "thing-oriented" society to a "person-oriented" society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.
