1. The fact that most astonishes me is that Mark Klein

informed Feinstein and other senators about this spying before coming to D.C. Only after he came to D.C. and "made a scene" so to speak, did some of the members of Congress decide they had to at least act like they are doing something about this. This is yet more evidence that Congress (including the so-called Democrats) is not interested in protecting the rights of Americans. It also demonstrates the importance of hounding members of Congress on these civil rights issues.

In addition, I am wondering to what extent NSA and the White House have collected embarrassing information about the members of Congress and whether the NSA and the White House use information to intimidate or even extort acquiescence from Congress members. None of us are perfect. Some Congress members probably have more to be embarrassed or intimidated about than others. I am particularly concerned about Feinstein's, Pelosi's (to a limited extent) and Reid's vulnerabilities in this area.

Every banking transaction that goes over the internet would be known to the feds. Every call to a broker. Every call to a spouse or child. This is absolutely horrendous.
