7. Well...I will reveal a secret to you all...since our days are numbered here...

Way back in April,2001...I was new to the internet and stumbled upon DU from a link from "Buzzflash" I think back at that time.

I had never posted anywhere and I didn't know what to use as a "Log In/Identifyer Name" and I mistakenly picked one of my cats names. It was "KoKo."

For years on DU I was ridiculed by some "usual suspects" calling me "KOO KOO" or Gorilla (for the famous gorilla named KoKo who could do sign-language) and I rued the day I chose that name. Yet, through all the DU opportunities to change my name...I kept it because I was who I was through my postings and I figured the hell with it! Those who didn't like me or my posts would never give it up and I preferred to be who I was here since the "Supremes" stole the 2000 Election.

This Thursday at 4:45 p.m. My beloved last Siamese, "KoKo" went to sleep due to kidney failure. I'm still not over it. His sister named "Yum Yum" died three years ago and that just about did me in. (All pet owners know what it's like...so I'm not trying to look for sympathy here...because it just is what it is)

WHO ARE KO KO AND YUM YUM?

KoKo and Yum Yum are Siamese cats who solve mysteries in a series of books by popular Mystery/Fiction writer Lillian Jackson Braun.

YEAH...I am one of those folks who likes to read...and just happened to pick a literary fiction character of a cat named "KoKo" to use as my name here. It was innocence. I wasn't a USENET or YAHOO GROUP MEMBER. I didn't even own a computer until 1995 when Windoze made it easy for me.

So...that's what it is.

Since I'm not going over to the other site and this is our last HURRAH over here...I'm revealing it here. Not that anyone cares...but, I guess just cause I'm still grieving over my little one...who went to the Cat Heaven in the sky to be with his sister.

YEAH...I'm a BIG TIME CAT PERSON...!

I was so innocent to the internet that when I picked one of my cats names...I never realized the journey it would take me through all these years here on DU.

It's a true story My two Siamese were the joy of mine for 18 and 15 years.

ON EDIT:

If I run into any of your from "Occupy DU-2" on any other sites in the coming years...look for the handle "MIKADO" for Me.. My Name will be from the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera.."MIKADO" where there is a character named "KoKo" in the cast of characters. I will still be "KoKo" but from an Opera instead of from a book about Siamese Cats who solve mysteries.
