NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE TO RALLY AND MARCH FOR JOBS AND JUSTICE ON SATURDAY IN HONOR OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

Marc H. Morial Will Address Gathering of Activists and Advocates

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 14, 2011) -- With the national jobs crisis dragging into a fourth year, National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial will help lead a Rally and March for Jobs and Justice tomorrow, Saturday, October 15, starting at the National Sylvan Theater at 9:30 a.m.

"This weekend we pay tribute to The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the dedication of his memorial on the National Mall, but it we are truly to honor his legacy, we must address the plight of America's 14 million unemployed," Morial said.

A co-chair of the Rally and March, Morial joins a distinguished group of civil rights, labor and public policy advocates, including Washington, D.C., Mayor Vincent Gray, the Rev. Al Sharpton, and U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, who will lead the rally and march from the theater to the MLK Memorial and back.
