5. If you want a candidate who
Will destroy the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and Current Law as you know it..if You want a Candidate who will make this country the equivalent of IRAN.. Or who will turn this country into
biblical day Jerusalem then Bachmann and Perry will be the ones who will try to do this. Once you take
this country down that road, its gonna be a hell of time coming back, without flames and bloodshed.

8. Great to see people
maintaining the myth of of Iran being some evil autocratic villain.

Its just embarrassing watching Americans fall for their own propaganda.

Let be clear - yes Iran has Religious elite - these are the equivalent of The Pope - which America has. Beyond that they have elections, elections which almost every poll conducted prior to the elections predicted the result as it turned out, after the elections recounts were conducted with observers, and there were almost no discrepancies found.

The uprising in Iran, and the social media response has almost entirely been linked to the CIA and MOSSAD.

The accusations of nuclear weapons programs are completely unfounded without a single piece of evidence ever being supplied.

The footage of protesters was almost always less than a couple of thousand at most, almost all of whom were easily fit the mold for the same protesters who Kermit Roosevelt raised in his early days of rabble rousing - paid CIA dissidents. The major protests where tens and hundreds of thousands of protesters turned out which were shown to American viewers were supporters of Ahmedinijad.

The west, sorry - America, is so completely corrupted by propaganda - its just sad.

Most people hear them talk about a 'Christian nation' and think, 'Well, that sounds like a good, moral thing,' says the Rev. Mel White, who ghostwrote Jerry Falwell's autobiography before breaking with the evangelical movement. "What they don't know -- what even most conservative Christians who voted for Bush don't know -- is that 'Christian nation' means something else entirely to these Dominionist leaders. This movement is no more about following the example of Christ than Bush's Clean Water Act is about clean water."

It helps that Dominionists have a direct line to the White House: The Rev. Richard Land, top lobbyist for the 16-million-member Southern Baptist Convention, enjoys a weekly conference call with top Bush advisers including Karl Rove. "We've got the Holy Spirit's wind at our backs!" Land declares in an arm-waving, red-faced speech. He takes particular aim at the threat posed by John Lennon, denouncing "Imagine" as a "secular anthem" that envisions a future of "clone plantations, child sacrifice, legalized polygamy and hard-core porn."

The Dominionists are also stepping up efforts to turn public schools into forums for evangelism. In a landmark case, the Alliance Defense Fund is suing a California school district that threatened to dismiss a born-again teacher who was evangelizing fifth-graders. In the conference's opening ceremony, the Dominionists recite an oath they dream of hearing in every classroom: "I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen and coming again, with life and liberty for all who believe."

While the dominionists rely on grass-roots activists to fight their battles, they are backed by some of America's richest entrepreneurs. Amway founder Rich DeVos, a Kennedy ally who's the leading Republican contender for governor of Michigan, has tossed more than $5 million into the collection plate. Jean Case, wife of former AOL chief Steve Case -- whose fortune was made largely on sex-chat rooms -- has donated $8 million. And Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino's Pizza, is a major source of cash for Focus on the Family, a megaministry working with Kennedy to eliminate all public schools.

12. actually
Rachael Maddow has talked at some length about various aspects of the Christian Right Dominionists included.. its taken the mainstream a long time to catch up... the situation is even worse, both Oklahoma senators are Dominionists, the roster of C-street is widely known.. do a litttle bit of looking of behind the national prayer breakfast, the beliefs of those folks will scare you... who do you think W was courting with his "faith based initiative"

these folks through senate and congressional committees effect not only our country, but American foreign policy as well.. Witness the Dominionists meddling in Uganda, where they are trying to establish the death penalty for homosexuality..

16. This is another great source for information:
http://www.talk2action.org /

Religious zealots and fanatics in the US are, imo, much more of a threat that any foreign terrorist organization. They started infiltrating the GOP first, and now they've come for the Dems. We would do well to not ignore or discount these people. They are dangerous and their tentacles reach into every major institution in and out of the government, especially law enforcement and the military.

17. What scares me is that two major news media people have
never heard of this. I've been following politics pretty closely since the Bush years, and have certainly come across articles on Dominionism. Palin got a free ride when it came to her religion, despite there being videos of her being "exorcised" by some guy from Africa. But, once again, we have presidential candidates who blur the lines between religion and politics. This is scary stuff and the news media better get on top of it.

politicians serve at the pleasure of the people.

They need to take that shit to the middle east if they want to rule by god given rights.

20. What astounds me is that both of them have never heard of Dominionism before.
The entire evangelical movement is dominated with this type of mentality along with end-timers. What is really scary is that one of these idiots could get their hands on the doomsday code and make their idiocy a reality. When Bush was asked about the threat of a nuclear Holocaust he responded so what he would he be heaven so what's to worry about. It appears that two of the more influential corporate propagandists are so busy spewing the corporate line that they are totally unaware of what is taking place in their own neighborhood.

22. Many of these are anti-environment saying God won't let his creation be destroyed
so pollution doesn't matter. Also some amongst them accuse those who are environmentalists of worshipping the earth, of paganism making the desire to not be poisoned or polluted an ungodly fear. they even made a 'documentary' about this Resisting the Green Dragon
