1. That's true ...
... except that they are the "scientists" working for the oil and coal lobbies.

3. The next question should have been request that he name
names. Those that he impugned should have a chance to defend themselves.

6. Can anybody say that he talks through his hat.
I would say he is a liar but actually, I think he just made that up as he went along. How can he possibly think that the scientists who are predicting global warming is due to man's activities would lie for money?

Who would pay them enough to risk their reputations on lying?

Nobody. That's who.

The scientists who work for the fossil fuel industries are paid the big bucks.

Peer-reviewed studies are a tough measure.

Perry doesn't hang out with scientists. That's for sure.

11. Hat? Don't know...but he sure talks through his ass
His ideas on science remind me of the following quote:

"..............................."

That's about it.

7. I HATE being smarter than presidental candidates....REALLY HATE IT!!!
Edited on Thu Aug-18-11 07:30 PM by Moostache
When I was a child (in the 70's), I remember feeling that politicians - at least the ones that were discussed in my household like FDR, Truman, JFK and LBJ - were actually pretty smart men. Men of respect. Men of letters.

For the last 4 presidential elections though, I can say without a second's hesitation that I am undoubtedly smarter than the GOP standard bearers (Shrub,McCain, ALL of this years parade of fools...) and it makes me want to cry. I don't WANT to live in a country that the least common denominator is the winner of a rigged popularity contest to become our President. Despite my crushing disappointment in Obama's non-stop capitulation as president, I can honestly say that as a man, he is more intelligent and more learned than I am or ever will be. That was one reason I was so happy he won in '08...but now, I am fearful that the moron brigade of American voters are going to elect someone completely stupid and dangerously non-curious....AGAIN!!!

Just 2 1/2 years ago Bush was president...and we have a large group of citizens in this country who seem to believe the only thing wrong with that was that Bush was too SMART?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Stop the world, I need to get off before I vomit repeatedly!

10. I smell a conservative hypocrite
Manipulation...over money?

Hmmm, this, coming from a guy that got over $100 million in contributions over the past decade (about half of which, came from donors who gave $100,000 or more).

Yeah, he stinks.
