1. The private sector, those wealthy few elites who got bailed out with our
tax money, has told us again and again what they are going to do in response to this crumbling economy they helped to create. They are NOT going to create jobs in the US. They are going to create jobs in foreign countries because labor there is cheap. In other words the private sector, those supposed "job creators", have responded, "We are going to take care of ourself and to hell with the country."

4. I like his line of thinking that our economic system is /
has to evolve. To automatically assume that the US will follow European states is overly simplistic - and I wish he would go into that more deeply...Unlike the US, European states are parliamentary. I was also glad that he mentioned the reformation ongoing in Latin American societies...Let us all hope he is correct as the status quo is unacceptable.

6. Even better interview with . . .
. . economist Michael Hudson, president of the Institute for the Study of Long-Term Economic Trends, a Distinguished Research Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and author of "Super Imperialism: The Economic Strategy of American Empire" :

http://www.democracynow.org/2011/7/22/pushing_crisis_gop_cries_wolf_on (July 22. 2011)

Hudson says: "The first story, really, was two weeks ago when Sheila Bair finished her five-year term at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. And now that she left, she was able to talk about the arguments that were going on while all of this money was being given away. She opposed it. She said none of this money, not a penny, had to be given away at all. She said the job of the FDIC was to do exactly what it did with Washington Mutual and IndyMac. She said they could have closed down Citibank, they could have closed down AIG and the others. Depositors insured by the FDIC wouldn’t have lost a penny. She said, "That’s what the FDIC does."

She was overruled by Geithner and by the Treasury Department, and especially by Bernanke, who essentially said, "We have to save the rich first. We have to save the gamblers."

WE ARE BEING FLEECED, RIGHT BEFORE OUR VERY EYES.

THIS 11th HOUR THEFT OF SOCIAL SECURITY-MEDICARE-MEDICAID has been in the neo-conservative-liberal plans ever since the day Obama was nominated for US President.

Only a Democratic President could pull this off.

We've been had big time.

7. Make no mistake
Hate drives the extremists and the misguided voters who will pay dearly when their programs get cut.

Don't vote if you don't understand what you are voting for, "conservatives".

9. And there are still Democrats out there that think Obama is a
Democrat?
Hillary for 2012...She may not be the progressive candidate we need..but she is not a damn Republican and she would work for the middle class ...and SS and medicare would not be on the table to ax.
