2. How many times a proven failed Theory must be applied over, ...
and over, and over again, until someone with poweful leadership and analysis capabilities will say: ENOUGH is ENOUGH, WE WILL NOW GET OURSELVES OUT OF THIS SELF-DESTRUCTIVE theory?
5. We've been under Repub administrations for 20 of the last 30 years, and
even the Democratic presidents during that time--Clinton and Obama--have pretty much favored Republican free-trade/supply side/trickle down economic policies. Yet, the Repubs and their enabling allies in the media keep harping it's the mere fact that there's a Democrat in the White House that's causing our economic woes.
People need to get behind the DeFazios in our government and hammer home this fact. We've lived under Republican economic policies for the past 30 years and it's made things worse. Even Reagan's budget director David Stockman notes that the richest 5% have amassed more wealth since 1980 than all of the wealth created before 1980. And he says this philosophy is a scam. Nice having your epiphany 30 years after the fact, but Stockman's awakening speaks volumes on how the middle and lower class have been taken to the cleaners and how this country has been dumbed-down to the point that the people getting the shaft under such policies will vehemently argue to stay on this course.
7. Why Eisenhower was preferable to either Clinton or Obama
A Republican who acquiesces with the Democratic mandate of Social Security and unemployment insurance is preferable to a Democrat who agrees to be "bipartisan" on free trade agreements, welfare reform, deregulation, and tax cuts.
8. Clinton and now Obama believe in what is termed
neo-liberal economics. Which is a shade of Chicago school economics.
Liberals fall at the feet of Clinton, like conservatives do at the feet of Reagan. Both are equally wrong (more so Clinton, as the progressives should know better but are blinded by their adulation.) Its sad. Clinton killed more kids with his blockade than either of the Bushes or Obama - he was a real killer.
