Looks like somebody has a pineapple up his ass. A little touchy.

This was the actual question:

Taxpayer: "You send your children to private school, so why do you think it's fair to be cutting funding to public schools?"

Christie's thoughtful answer makes three main points:
1. It's none of your business where I send my kids to school!
2. I pay $38K in property taxes for public schools that I don't use...so shaddap!
3. It's none of your business where I send my kids to school!

Notice that he didn't answer her question. She asked why do you think it's fair to cut funding to public schools when you don't send your kids there, and he responded to the imaginary question "why don't you put your money where your mouth is, and live under the same conditions you demand that we live under by sending your kids to the same schools we have to send ours to? You know---LEAD BY EXAMPLE?"

I think he must be a little sensitive to the whole DOUBLE STANDARD, do as I say not as I do, austerity is only for little people theme, or he wouldn't have read the question that way. You know, the whole issue of whining endlessly about public austerity and the lack of public money, and then sequestering a police helicopter and limousine (paid for by the taxes of this woman asking the question, here) to fly your lazy ass across the state to watch your son CATCH for five innings, and then bugger off to be flattered and cajoled by GOP power brokers who are trying to convince you to run for President.

So, how about we translate Christie's answer to the question he imagined he was being asked.

The Question: Why are you sending your kids to private school instead of public school:

The answer as translated:

1. Because the public schools (that I'm responsible for) are a JOKE!
2. Because those public schools are about to get even WORSE.
3. Because superior people (ie-wealthy people) deserve to send their kids to superior schools. The converse, of course, is that non-wealthy people are INFERIOR, and DESERVE to send their kids to inferior schools.

Any other translation you can think of?

14. Governor Pig.
It fits him. He actually bears more than a passing resemblance to the cartoon character Porky Pig. I'm not meaning to besmirch Porky Pig, he is one of my favorites.

6. That was pretty much his answer, but because it wouldn't
pass the TV censor, he had to deflect with the feign outrage over the impertinence of somebody questioning where he sends his kids to school.

I'm surprised he didn't say "why do you hate parochial schools?"

3. Governor Barrel Ass
likes to use any excuse to berate anyone who asks a question he'd rather not answer. If he can afford $38,000 in property tax it's no wonder he doesn't want to raise taxes on the wealthy elites.
There's something in the Bible about gluttony. Maybe his kids will learn about it in their parochial school.

5. Gluttony and avarice? Nah, that's too old school
And about the property tax thing, I was wondering about that. What's the rate of property tax in his district, anybody know? I'm thinking he must have a fair slice of property to have to pay that much tax.

(Oh yeah, and before any right-wing bloviators start to lecture us about just being resentful of somebody else's success, let's keep this in perspective. Christie is not a successful self-made man. He's a CAREER POLITICIAN who hasn't had a non-taxpayer funded job in 17 years. The man made his fortune on public money and the Republican political machine.)

10. If you look at the comments from conservatives on the actual youtube video
you'll see they're just LOVING his response to that woman. BULLYING goes over BIG in conservative circles. Nevermind that this is a taxpayer whom he (theoretically) WORKS for...

Every time he tells some citizen who questions his policies at a town hall meeting to FOAD, and then belly bumps them back into their chair, he gets more popular with his base.

It's hilarious. I seriously wish this guy would run for president against Obama. I think he'd be even more amusing than Palin.

9. With all due respect, Gail...
Notice the last part of his answer was that he, as governor, was responsible for every child in the state and the decisions he makes are to "try to improve the educational opportunities" for every child.

And how is he going to improve their educational opportunities? By cutting funding. Now it seems to me that if cutting funding really improves their educational opportunities, then cutting funding more should improve their educational opportunities more. So, if he really, really wants to help these kids he should eliminate funding altogether which, by his logic, should give the kids in the state the absolute, greatest opportunity possible.

12. TWO MISTAKES FAT ASS
You answer the question respectfully, not with "It's none of your business." You took an innocent question
and assumed it was a personal attack. Not mature at all. Mellow out dude.
Next, you say you are trying to give everyone the opportunity for an education of their choice when
you're cutting educational dollars ?
You're nothing but a bagman for the owners who want you to run as a thug president one day. And you
will because you are greedy a phony.

26. Now I see clearly why Republicans love him so much
Love the "screw you" mentality. I'm sure right-wingers get physically aroused over this response, even though it borders on evil. I "choose" to send my kids to private schools, implying EVERYONE must have that same choice. So why would anyone "choose" the "cheap" way out of sending their children to public schools? Good God, man, then you go on to admit EVERY child in your state is your responsibility, but seem to have no clue that not EVERY child in your state can go to private schools! So what is your f*cking answer?? Answer the question!! While conservatives watch this with the remote control in one hand and "something else" in the other, remember that some of us are intelligent enough to realize you have no answer to that totally fair question.

This douche is the Republican wet dream to run for president. Please do. I'd love to see you answer a presidential debate question in this same way; in front of the entire nation.

31. Basically Chris Christie's goal is transering public education dollars to the schools
HIS kids attend.

Christie wants to increase parochial and charter school funding and decrease public school by transferring TAXPAYER PUBLIC SCHOOL MONEY to private parochial and charter schools, thereby destroying the public school system by giving private, charter and parochial schools and unfair advantage in accepting only the students who fit their needs and leaving the "problem" students to "under-performing" public schools.

Chris Christie, gluttonous bastard that he is, wants YOUR tax dollars to fund HIS kids' private education while your kids are left behind in the rotting public school system his policies doom to failure.
