Consider all Americans whose total monthly income is their SS check. It is not very much to begin with. Take away any part of that and recipients, most of whom struggle to make ends meet will be even worse off.
I cannot see why all of us who paid into this system all our working lives will have to live at well below poverty levelWe didn't make the wars, we don't control the crisis in the economy.

It was Washington. Our best efforts to put good people in office with our vote has backfired.

I feel any talk of SS cuts is a betrayal.
