1. Not stupid....
I just don't think or believe that. I've I'm being generous I say weak. If I'm being cynical I say complicit. Either way it sucks for everyone else.

2. Or option # 4 , which I hate to even think about: he's been warned, clearly and explicitly
about the potentially lethal consequences of not playing ball with the real powers and money that run the show now.
It gives me the chills to even consider that this is one possibility, but as much as I wish I didn't wonder about it, I can't help it.

7. He acts like they've threatened his daughters.
Unless he was just full of shit from the start, from who he was during the campaign to who he is now, he acts like they've threatened his daughters.

And imagine, even if he is slightly progressive, how hard it must be to get anything done when you're surrounded by Goldman Sachs employees who (rightly) think they own the White House.

But I'm still not convinced. Maybe he's under threat, maybe he's easily influenced, maybe he was on their side to start with. Or maybe he's been convinced that no one but the banks are capable of managing our economy.

28. Of course they are threatening Obama AND his family
Edited on Sun Dec-05-10 08:10 PM by CrunchMaster
republicans take guns to rallies where he shows up, the media encourages it, guys like Glen Beck make creepy statements about his daughters. His planes had mechanical troubles TWICE during the election runup. OF COURSE HIS LIFE IS BEING THREATENED BY THE REPUBLICANS.

Obama doesn't do anything for Democrats because he is held in check by the right wing shadow government that runs this country. People need to get in the face of their politicians and media AND LET THEM KNOW WE UNDERSTAND THIS.

Wikileaks just informed us all that THE UNITED STATES IS ALLIED WITH PAKISTAN AND SAUDI ARABIA EVEN THOUGH THOSE TWO COUNTRIES PAY THE TALIBAN AND AL-QAEDA TO ATTACK US. Of course all of us "conspiracy theorists" have been stating the fucking obvious since the beginning. And companies like DynCorp buy little kids as favors to Afghan warlords, politicians and officials to keep them in line. And the U.S. does not punish companies like Dyncorp. Do Americans really understand how fucking SICK this country is? It is rotting from the head down and people need to get in these fucking Republicans (and Democrats) faces and let them know we know what is going on.

Democrats will never get the changes and reform they want until they start dealing with the Republican serial killers and war-o-philes that run this fucking country.

10 fucking years since 9/11 and we are still pretending Democrats have some type of power to change the country. THEY ARE COMPROMISED. CALL THESE ASSHOLES OUT AND DEMAND DEMOCRATS SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT.

8. Think he had his own private screening of the Zapruder film, huh?
Not impossible I guess. I've heard that they gave Clinton the talk after showing him that clip.

Afterward he "cleaned up" his act.

4. It's two of the three... sort of.
First, swap stupid with naive.
Then I'll go with weak and naive.

Let's kick this wimp out in 2012 in March (April?) before the Repukes do in November.

31. Well if you are disappointed, it is one thing, but Cenk?
You can see that he is losing it. As much as Obama thinks that people like Cenk are whiners, you would hope that he has somebody keeping tabs on people like him, Rachel and others. When people who are champions for Obama start turning and becoming very angry, it should put a chill down the spine of Obama. Try comparing this video to one that was made two years ago by Cenk and you can see how the vast majority of his supporters have changed.

15. I hope his failure leads to massive and powerful reform of the Left
He's a fucking loser that's clear. And a s consequence the world suffers. He fucked up a vitally important time in our history to lead with a mandate and to change direction. Instead he is held up as proof that Liberalism is hated and rejected in America. I fucking hate him.

22. America doesn't hate or reject liberalism, but it seems like Obama does
with is why we find ourselves in the place we are today. The swift squandering of the mandate he was given will bother me for the rest of my days; such an incredible opportunity wasted! I'm trying really hard not to hate him. I hate Cheney, many (but not all) corporate CEOs and Banksters, a guy named Jodie Estes in upstate NY, people who abuse animals and children, and RW pundits: Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly-all of them. Hate drains a person. I'd rather be cheering for Obama right now but he seems determined to give us nothing to cheer about.

30. I wouldn't vote for him again..
Perhaps he's the biggest blue dog ever. Maybe like Lieberman who says one thing but really does the opposite.
What really bothers me though is that he is so unkind, not compassionate about us little people who all voted him in.

18. K&R
First off, his cabinet has a number of questionable personnel. Why would that be? Secondly, President Obama was awfully quick to say we must 'look forward' with regard to possible Bush crimes. Then there was the obvious weak position on the HCR debate. I am now highly suspicious of President Obama and his motives. I now fear he is a co-conspirator.

35. His response to the BP gulf spill was the biggest WTF moment for me
Remember he went so far as to have a photo taken of him and his daughter swimming
in the "perfectly safe" water? Speaking to someone who actually lives in the gulf
he wasn't even in the area affected by the spill.
Who owns him? Who really runs things? - it ain't him.

37. That too.
There are so many incidents that have aroused my suspicion. It is almost as if he couldn't be stupid enough to do these things on his own. It's like someone else is insisting he do this, as in the gulf photo op. Surely he isn't dumb enough to think we can't see through this. Right wing handlers on the other hand would be all too stupid to believe it would only be a benign Bush-like photo op. I'm beginning to believe he does these lame things to let us know, "Hey, I'm not this stupid, you know better, but I have to do as I'm told. I just want you to know. And this is the only way to tell you without words." Just a thought.

20. I am appreciating this president more and more
...great composure, calm and leadership when the media runs crazy.

Even the GOP is slowly recognizing that the GOP is truly the party of NO: Link

In all this craziness, PBO is working hard for the American People... The South Korea Trade Deal: A victory for the American Workers.

The obsessed media is not even talking about the breakthough trade deal with South Korea: Link.

Can we stop calling these people the Professional Left, please?

Former Republicans (some not as bad as others)

the owner/founder DailyKos(Moulitas),
Young Turks (Cenk Uygur),
Media Matters (David Brock),
HuffPo (Arianna Huffington),
Thom Hartman(former Air America),
Randi Rhodes(former Air America?),
Ed Schultz(MSNBC),
John Aravosis (Americablog)
John Cole (Balloon Juice)

At worst they are the Professional Liberal Republicans, at best the Professional Blue Dogs. There are so few people who write and speak credibly to the values of the actual Left that we can't even say there is a Professional Left on a National level. It's a big ole myth. So who cares what the Professional Right Leaning Middle says?

I'm baffled by your post. "PBO is working hard for the American people." On what planet?

Your post implies that you are a member of "the actual Left"--yet you're calling Thom Hartman (at worst) a "Professional Liberal Republican" or (at best) a "Professional Blue Dog"? Have you ever read anything written by Thom?

Your post is so nonsensical to me, I'll concede that maybe I'm misunderstanding it completely. Wait, was it satire? I'm truly lost here.

Complicit and has been from the start. Vetted by Kissinger when he was in college, he's an insider, just look at all the corporatists in his cabinet.

he showed he could win when he beat the Clintons, and he hasn't won anything of consequence for the working class since he came to office.

Raising taxes on the rich was one of his primary campaign promises, said he was going to do it as soon as he gained office, yeah right.

Taxes will kill a candidate, like bush sr "no new taxes". Like Cenk says 67 percent want taxes raised on the rich, so go against that and

YOU'RE A ONE TERMER MR OBAMA
