2. Nope. Not at all.
I don't know how to embed videos in other forums.

I thought it was amusing - please alert and have it removed if posted inappropriately.

5. Cholera death toll in Haiti has passed 1,000
November 16, 2010
Associated Press

Official: Cholera death toll in Haiti has passed 1,000

Dominican Republic, which neighbors Haiti, confirms its first case

The health ministry said Tuesday that the official death toll hit 1,034 as of Sunday. Figures are released following two days of review.
Aid workers say the official numbers may understate the epidemic. While the ministry of health says more than 16,700 people have been hospitalized nationwide, Doctors Without Borders reports that its clinics alone have treated at least 16,500.

On Tuesday, during a second day of rioting throughout northern Haiti, local reporters said a police station was burned in Cap-Haitien and rocks thrown at peacekeeping bases.

8. Thank you for assisting with our theme of off-topic posts!
However, before this gets deleted for being off-topic, you may want to post this in the LBN news forum as it is critical information.

Pre-deletion, I hope all who viewed, enjoyed. Cats are the best. :D

6. Someone doesn't care if the cat gets eaten, though. I mean, it's
good that the cat backs down the gator, but it was never certain, and the guy walking nearby and the camera person obviously don't care if the gator gets the cat, since it obviously could happen. That troubles me.

10. Me too, and I would think it the difference between a viral vid and deletion...
but that would be YouTube's call and not the morons that gleefully taped it without knowing the outcome.

I am happy it worked out as it did, as the final ending is a riot. Animal death scenes (or descriptions of such) make me question my anti-gun stance.

15. I fear that when some people see such vids, it gives them ideas they should not have

11. Love the kitteh!
It's so freaky to think that all of these people are so close to these gators. I'd be scared to death!

13. Honestly?
The tourists appear to be on a balcony.

The guy on the riverside/shoreline and the kid with the cats are WAY to comfortable with the baby gator's nearness. Too much familiarity.

I was born/raised in Florida and this kind of scene is not uncommon - what IS uncommon is the cats. Where I was raised, it was gator-wrestlers vs 'wild' (ie. professionally trained/domesticated) critters. The fact that they could train the cat(s) and gators to interact is beyond amazing.

17. Yeah, that's really who I meant...the people on the shoreline.
Those look like pretty big gators! I guess they're still babies, but holey moley!

:)

18. Those are definitely babies
a full sized average croc is 10-14' (upwards of ~20 ft) long.

16. That COULD have ended differently
With cries of "Oh my God" and children screaming. Or maybe I'm overestimating their concern for the cat.
